Accessibility at the LCLC
The Lunenburg County Lifestyle Centre is committed to creating an inclusive, welcoming, and accessible environment for all visitors, participants, and community members.
We strive to reduce barriers to participation and support equitable access to our facilities, programs, and services.

Skating & Arena
The arena is specifically designed to support para hockey, featuring plexiglass in the players’ benches for enhanced safety and accessibility. Synthetic ice is available to assist with smooth transitions on and off the main ice surface. All dressing room doors are equipped with automatic door operators, and the facility includes both an elevator and an accessible ramp to ensure easy access to the arena for all users.
Pool & Aquatics
The LCLC is committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive aquatic environment for all participants. We strive to reduce barriers to participation and support equitable access to programs and services whenever possible. Participants requiring accommodations or additional support are encouraged to contact us in advance so our team can help provide a safe, respectful, and supportive experience for everyone.
Inclusive programs such as our Sensory Friendly Swim and Women & Girls Swim help create accessible recreational opportunities for a wide range of community members.
