Arena Programs

The LCLC arena features an NHL-sized ice surface available for use year-round. The facility offers seating for 1192 spectators, including 8 accessible spaces and can accommodate 220 person standing spectators around the rails and at ice level.
A floor cover can be installed for special events, increasing capacity with an additional 1000 seated attendees.

The arena comes equipped with 5 dressing rooms each with their own washroom as well as two club rooms.

The facility also features a 40’ x 36’ stage, complete with a wheelchair-accessible ramp, providing a versatile and inclusive space for events, performances, and community programming.

Arena Rules

These rules are in place to keep everyone safe and to ensure a positive experience for all users. LCLC staff have the authority to enforce these rules and may remove anyone who does not comply.

General Arena Rules

  • Helmets are mandatory for all skaters, regardless of age. Helmets must be CSA approved.
  • Children under the age of 12 must be actively supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.
  • No outdoor footwear is allowed on the ice surface.
  • Ice re-surfacing machine must be completely off the ice and all doors closed before anyone enters the ice.
  • Food and beverages are not allowed on the ice at any time.
  • Do not climb on the rink boards or hang from safety netting
  • Please report vandalism, damage or safety concerns to arena staff
  • Please place all garbage in bins provided.
  • Skates and helmets available for public use.
  • Unsafe or reckless behaviour will not be tolerated. Staff may remove participants from the ice if behaviour is deemed unsafe. This includes, but is not limited to:
    • Pushing or intentional contact
    • Skating in a way that puts others at risk
    • Ignoring staff instructions
  • All users must treat others, staff, and the facility with respect. Foul language, inappropriate behaviour, harassment or discrimination are not permitted anywhere in the facility, including the ice surface, dressing rooms, and common areas.
  • Arena staff may stop an activity or clear the ice at any time if safety becomes a concern.
  • Failure to follow arena rules or staff direction may result in removal from the ice or facility without refund.
  • Repeated or serious violations may lead to suspension of facility privileges.

Public Skate Rules

  • Helmets are required for all participants.
  • Skate in the same direction as the group flow.
  • No rough play, excessive speed, weaving through other skaters, or skating against the flow.
  • The following are not permitted during public skating:
    • Sticks or pucks
    • Games of tag or racing
    • Figure skating manoeuvres such as spins or jumps
    • Horseplay of any kind
  • Skate aids are available to help beginner skaters. Skate aids are not for high-speed skating. Misuse of the skate aids may result in removal from the ice.
  • Wheelchairs and strollers are allowed on the ice. The occupant must wear an approved helmet, and wheels must be clean before entering the ice.

Sticks & Pucks Rules

  • CSA approved hockey helmets and hockey gloves are required for ALL participants.
  • Participants under the age of 18 must wear a helmet with a full face cage
  • Children 5 and under must be accompanied on the ice by a parent or guardian.
  • No scrimmages, pick-up games or organized play.
  • Slapshots are not permitted
  • Only participants wearing helmets are allowed on player benches.
  • Helmets, sticks and pucks available for public.
